Special Note: With the format USMTS is using this weekend, the top 9 in points will be locked into Saturday night's feature. Drivers can use either Thursday or Friday night's best finish. I'm going off the standard scoring system used all season.

** Not the official USMTS points. I'll take results from MRP, USMTS rulebook and calculate from those for my standings.
++ Rodney was scored at Boothill's second race for getting the most laps led giving him 103 instead of 101 (100 points for 1st place, 1 extra point for leading a lap per the USMTS rulebook). Jason Hughes led the most laps ( Jason led 34 laps while Rodney led the last 16) thus Jason should've had the 2 bonus points for leading the most laps. I've made attempts to reach out for clarification and not heard back.
Top 10 Recap:
1) Joe Chisholm: Joe had as much fun racing against his backup car driven by Ryan Wetzstein this weekend as he did celebrating in victory lane. Appeared a little cautious to save his rear tire for late in the race in case he needed it, he didn't need it. Since debuting his new Skyrocket, Joe has found multiple trips to victory lane this summer. A nice boost of confidence to finish out the season.
2) Rodney Sanders: Happy to get second after feeling like the car has been missing something the last few weeks. Extra motivated it sounded like in his post-race interview, given Tanner's good runs and climb to 2nd in points. Rodney's going to go down swinging for this championship. I'd expect more of the same this weekend with Rodney and his history at the "Mecca of Mods", Deer Creek Speedway.
3) Brandon Davis: The newly crowned Northern Lights Modified series champion continued his good luck at Deer Creek. Track was very nice tonight especially with the extra cars in the support classes making it a wide track for his feature. Brandon was more tickled that the car was in one piece and just normal maintenance tomorrow.
4) Jacob Bleess: Happy to take a top 5 tonight. This is normally the time of the year when Jacob and the 21 team finds a little hot streak for the special events. Continues to shine with his Longhorn by Sorensen chassis.
5) Dustin Sorensen: Dustin was able to join the USMTS as the WoO late models are off this weekend. Joked he had a few laps around this place and always excited to run with the series. Good showing in his heat race with the caliber of drivers behind him.
6) Tanner Mullens: Won his heat race, his son Tripp's good luck in drawing had a detour tonight drawing a 7 out of 8. Moved up a position at the checker flag. Lost 14 points to Rodney in the points championship. From his first visit to Deer Creek to last night, Tanner is getting more comfortable with the track. I suspect a good weekend is in store for the 02 team.
7) Jim Chisholm: A stacked heat race and starting shotgun on the field made for a busy night behind the wheel of the 24c. Missed the A-main by one place via passing points. Won his B-main and advanced 6 places for the Hard Charger award. As I've stated this year, if the first night is a little off, the team regroups nicely the next night with a higher finish.
8) Zack VanderBeek: Zack, the Jamboree, and top 10s are like peanut butter, jelly and bread. Can't have one without the other. Countless amount of top 10's at the Jamboree in Zack's future Hall of Fame career with the USMTS. Always a pleasure to watch the 33z running the low line around the ditch at Deer Creek.
9) Joe Duvall: Always a treat when work commitments allow Joe to make the journey from Oklahoma to the Fall Jamboree. He's had plenty of good moments behind the wheel and the microphone. I have a good feeling we'll be seeing another "Deer Creek memory" with Big Daddy this weekend.
10) Reese Solander: Needed a USMTS provisional to get into the A-main tonight. No fault of his own, the draw tonight got him, as he's normally one of the fast time qualifiers this year. Despite a tough heat and b-main, the Hodges Brothers Racing team was able to overcome a 23rd starting position. (Provisional starters are not eligible for the Hard charger award). 3 nights at Deer Creek will help Reese get more comfortable and move forward during the Jamboree.
Honorable Mention: Jamboree Format
The Fall Jamboree is doing things a little differently. They've added more support classes and some tweaks. Let's see how bad I butcher this since there wasn't much communication aside from the social media posts from Deer Creek Speedway.
Mods: Running Thursday and Friday with drivers choosing their better finish of the two nights. The top 9 in points are locked into Saturday night's main event (ooooo yeah, dig it). Mods are running Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
B-mods: Top 8 in points are locked into the A-main Saturday based on their best finish from Thursday or Friday night. B-mods are running Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Hobby Stocks: The top 6 in points from Thursday night are locked into the field Saturday. 7-12 on Saturday but can better their spots if the opportunity presents itself. Hobby stocks are running Thursday and Saturday.
Stock Cars: They're finishing up their Ironman schedule this weekend running Friday and Saturday nights to decide their national champion. It appears it's their normal points format they've been doing all season.

DirtInfo | Dirt Racing Analysis & Opinions My writings can be found here. As they say, things are "in the works" for some other projects. Right now, I'll recap all the USMTS events, either in person, or thanks to the fine folks at RacinDirt | USMTS, Dirt Modifieds & Live Racing Streams. The nights I'm at the track and in the pits, I'll have a race recap similar to my Mason City USMTS fair race article. A modified version of the Recliner Reactions those nights will still be available.
DirtInfo - YouTube I have a voice and face for writing so you won't see me here :). A weekly podcast my discord friends put on with a buffet of racing topics, series, schedules and other topics of interest. I will toss them a USMTS nugget or two when asked. More importantly, they'll always leave you with "One for the Road'.
